WEST MICHIGAN — The Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, Oklahoma has issued a Tornado WATCH for all of West Michigan. The watch is in effect through 8pm EST Sunday as conditions will continue to deteriorate over the next few hours. Storms are developing across Lake Michigan in Illinois and Wisconsin and traveling east at around 55 miles per hour. Many Tornado Warnings have already been issued in Illinois and Wisconsin so far this morning.
A Tornado WATCH means conditions are extremely favorable for development of Tornadoes and damaging winds. Be cautious and aware of rapidly changing weather conditions this afternoon and evening and stay tuned to FOX 17 for the very latest from our team of Meteorologists.
