Neighbor Dispute Causes Standoff

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Grand Rapids Police say two neighbors fighting over a potentially stolen dog led to a standoff. Police say it happened in the 1300 block of Muskegon street around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.  Police say that dispute escalated when one neighbor threatened the other with a long gun.

SWAT team members were called in and neighbors say they were searching a nearby alley. Once a search warrant was served, SWAT team members were able to clear the house. Detectives are investigating and the case could be turned over to the Prosecutor depending on what they find.
