MEARS, Mich. — A human bone found in Silver Lake State Park will be analyzed by the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab.
The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office consulted anthropologist Dr. Todd Fenton at Michigan State University, and he believed the bone was a human femur, said a release from the sheriff’s office.
The bone was found November 9 by a man walking along the Lake Michigan shore during a stay at Grace Youth camp. He turned the bone over to a deputy.
