GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –-Davenport University announced Tuesday that it was developing a football program.
Davenport is now in the very early stages of planning and development for the program, and has not yet hired a head coach or implemented a facilities plan.
“We look forward to creating a high-quality program in which all of our stakeholders can take great pride,” said Davenport President Dr. Richard Pappas.
The university began the process of adding a football program in 2012. Following the study, Davenport formed a committee to explore the impact it would have on the university. They will make additional announcements when the timeline has been finalized.
