Breast Cancer Survivor Shares Her Story

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- A West Michigan breast cancer survivor is sharing her story with West Michigan.

Since her diagnosis, Dany Lyn has started her own small business to help others that are affected by the disease. She created a device called The Cushy that helps make seatbelts more comfortable for people who have recently had surgery in their chest area.

If you would like to learn more about breast cancer the Van Andel Institute is hosting a lunch on Nov 13. Carol Van Andel and  researchers at the Institute will be talking about the latest in breast cancer research and treatment and Dany Lyn will be sharing her story.

The lunch is scheduled for noon, but networking begins at at 11:30 a.m.  The meal costs $35.
