THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A 14-year-old Three Rivers student was taken into custody Nov. 4 after it was reported they brought a BB gun to school.
According to a news release, the suspect showed the gun to students while riding the bus home. They also bragged they were going to rob a bank or people at the park.
Three Rivers police were notified and made contact with the suspect and their family. The weapon was recovered from the suspect.
They were turned over to their parents pending juvenile court review on felonious assault charges. The suspect is also facing possible expulsion from school. There has been no report the suspect displayed or showed the gun while he was in school only on the bus, and no injuries were reported.
