KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A woman is in critical condition after she was hit by a car while walking with her two children late Thursday night. Police say they may have been trick-or-treating.
The accident happened when the woman was crossing S. Westnedge near Parkwood with her five-year-old and her one-year-old. A vehicle struck her as she was in the road. The kids were not hurt, but the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. Police found a bucket of candy at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
