KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Kyle Wilson, the 23-year-old man convicted in 2007 of stabbing a 15-year-old to death, will now go to trial for different murder charges.
Wilson stands accused of killing his 33-year-old cousin and roommate, Brandon Nelson, at York Creek Apartments in September. On Tuesday, a judge found there was enough evidence to send him to trial on second-degree murder and larceny charges. He is also being charged as a habitual offender.
In 2007, Wilson, then 17, was convicted of stabbing Jordan Nink, a 15-year-old from Barry County. Nink later died from his injuries. Wilson was released in April of this year after serving six years for that crime.
According to police, Wilson admitted to his involvement in the murder of his cousin. His next court date has not yet been decided.
