GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Late season road repairs continue this weekend, with two ramps in downtown Grand Rapids to be closed.
First, the ramp from southbound US-131 to westbound I-196 continues to be closed through October 25.
This weekend, westbound I-196 will have the right lane closed from Ottawa Avenue to Lane Avenue on Saturday and Sunday. At the same time, the ramp from westbound I-196 to northbound US-131 will be closed for repairs. Detour: continue west and exit at Lane Avenue, return to eastbound I-196 to northbound US-131.
In addition, the ramp from southbound US-131 to Pearl Street in downtown Grand Rapids will be closed for repairs. Detour: continue south and exit at Market Avenue, return on northbound US-131 to Pearl Street.
South of Grand Rapids on northbound US-131, the left lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for work on the highway’s lighting.
