GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A caregiver pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing money from a 91-year-old Lowell woman in her care.
Tracy Mata, 48, pleaded guilty to one count of larceny following her July 23 arrest. Another count was dropped as part of the plea deal.
If Mata had refused that deal, she could have faced three more counts of larceny or one count of embezzlement from a vulnerable adult.
She will be sentenced December 5 and will likely be ordered to pay roughly $2,000 in restitution.
