KALAMAZOO, Mich. — John Kovach was sentenced Monday morning in the shooting death of his wife, to which he pleaded guilty earlier in September.
Judge Alexander Lipsey sentenced Kovach to 18 to 30 years in prison on a charge of first degree murder and to two years in prison on a firearms charge.
The Kovach’s have 2-sons that were at the house at the time of the murder.
Nancy Kovach was shot to death June 17, 2012 in the couple’s Comstock Township home after an argument with her husband.
