WEST MICHIGAN — Early morning rain showers will move out of West Michigan and skies will start to clear behind the cold front. Rain showers were heaviest along the Lakeshore and north of Interstate 96 Sunday morning bringing rainfall amounts from a quarter of an inch to just less than half an inch in many areas. The cold front was quick-moving and cleared most of the rain out by late morning. Northwesterly winds behind the front this afternoon will usher in cooler and drier air making for a pleasant fall day with afternoon high temperatures warming into the upper 60’s and low 70’s.
Pleasant, warm weather will continue through the next work week as temperatures climb back into the mid to upper 70’s. Rain chances and much cooler temperatures will return as we head into the later portion of the week and into next weekend.
