MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich.- A motorcyclist is dead after he collided with a car.
It happened around 4 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of McGraft Park Rd. and Glen Ave. The motorcyclist, 49-year-old Orlando Vela, of Norton Shores was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. He later died at the hospital. Police say he was not wearing a helmet at the time.
The car driver, a 36-year-old woman from Mount Pleasant was also hurt in the accident. She was taken to the hospital but released.
Police believe speed was a factor in the crash.
