Sheriff’s Office: Teen Intentionally Crashes Truck Into Tree

ALAMO TOWNSHIP,Mich. — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff Office responded to a single vehicle crash of a truck into a tree on 6th St. near F Avenue. The crash happened on September 23 around 8:20pm. According to the Sheriff’s department When officers arrived on scene they discovered a Ford Pickup Truck had ran off the roadway on the West side of 6th St. and had struck a tree. The vehicle then caught fire before the driver could exit the vehicle. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as a 18-year-old Otsego Male. Investigators say that the crash was determined to be a suicide.
