MUSKEGON, Mich. – Parents with children at Reeths-Puffer School District were notified Tuesday after an incident involving a child who shot a BB gun at a school bus.
FOX 17 was contacted by a parent Tuesday afternoon who stated the district left an automated message on her phone.
According to the parent, the message stated that an 8-year-old boy was shooting his BB gun, misfired, then hit the window of Bus 16. The message stated that all students were alright and that the situation was being handled.
The school district said Tuesday that a second grader was outside his front yard shooting his BB gun at a bucket. As the bus went by, he missed the bucket then accidentally shot the bus. Nobody was hurt.
