(WEST MICHIGAN) — Another sure sign that summer is ending quickly occurs Tuesday. The sunset of 8:00pm is the last time the sunset will occur at 8pm or later until next March.
This is the time of year we lose daylight at a very rapid pace. In fact, in the month of September alone, the length of daylight decreases by one hour and 24 minutes, the most of any month. October is a close second, with a loss of daylight of one hour and 23 minutes.
For the next few weeks, the sunset will not occur before 7pm. That will change on October 15, when the sunset is at 7:00pm.
