Baldwin Heights Elementary Principal Featured On Cheerios Website

Posted

GREENVILLE, Mich — The principal of Baldwin Heights Elementary is getting national attention from Cheerios.

The president of the PTO at Baldwin Heights, Ann Harvey, nominated Michael Walsh for the national Cheer Teachers campaign. He was chosen as one of four educators to be featured on the website, and now he has a chance of being featured on a Cheerios cereal box.

You may notice Mr. Walsh is wearing a hula outfit in the photo. That’s because his students told him to!

Walsh allows the students who collected the most box tops or Campbell’s labels every three months to choose his fate for the day. Another time, he wore a dress and sang “Call Me Maybe” during an assembly, and he’s also allowed a class to throw water balloons at him.

“Mr. Walsh is a great supporter… and is willing to do whatever it takes to get the kids collecting,” Harvey tells FOX 17.
