SACRAMENTO, Calif. (SACRAMENTO BEE) — New video of former president Gerald R. Ford testifying against the woman who tried to kill him has been released.
In the video, obtained by The Sacramento Bee and embedded below, includes 20 minutes of testimony that President Ford gave in November of 1975. It follows the attempt on his life by Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme in September that year.
Fromme’s attempted assassination of the 38th president of the United States of America failed. After a 19-day trial, she was sentenced to life in prison.
