WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — As temperatures drop into the 40s on Tuesday night across West Michigan, some may write off any chance of warm temperatures for the rest of the summer. Summer’s demise is premature, since all indications are some much warmer air arrives later this week. What’s more for warm weather lovers, it appears it’s going to stick around for a while.
This image (from the College of DuPage) is from one of the medium-range computer models we use in making our forecast. It shows a forecast for temperatures Monday afternoon. Most of West Michigan is well into the 80s. The warm air actually arrives this weekend and is expected to continue for much of next week.
Before the return to summerlike warmth, however, there are a few cooler-than-normal days on the way. Highs Wednesday will struggle to get above 70 degrees, with highs still in the 70s Thursday.
