BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A rash of fires early Monday are all suspected of being arsons, two of which damaged buildings.
Crews from the Battle Creek Fire Department put out five suspicious fires beginning around 2 a.m. August 5.
Authorities got reports of a man setting fires, but a police dog lost the scent after a few blocks.
The dumpster fire was hot enough to damage a building, while the rest of the fires were set in trash cans. One of those fires damaged the exterior of a vacant home.
