Thief Locks Subway Worker in Cooler, Robs Restaurant

GRPDGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A robber forced a Subway employee into a cooler and then robbed the restaurant on Sunday night.

The crime took place around 10:45 p.m. at the Subway at 1540 Wealthy Street SE in Grand Rapids.

A man came in, implied that he had a weapon, and forced the worker into the cooler, police said.  He then stole some money and left.

There were no injuries reported.  Police are still looking for a suspect.
