KENTWOOD, Mich. — Volunteers gathered in Kentwood’s Pinewood Park Thursday to help rebuild a playground that burned down on Thanksgiving last year.
The playground, located at 2000 Wolfboro Dr. SE, burned down on Thanksgiving last year in a suspected arson. No arrests have been made in connection with that crime, though.
Dozens of volunteers joined in with the Sinclair Recreation team to assemble the playground equipment Thursday morning. Because there were so many volunteers, the city will likely save thousands of dollars in the rebuilding process.
