GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A cold front will usher in less humid air during the day Wednesday, but will still also trigger some thunderstorms around the Great Lakes as well.
Early Wednesday morning, temperatures and dew points remained well into the 70s around West Michigan, creating steamy conditions to start the day.
The cold front will slide through during the morning and midday hours, and will generate some additional showers and storms ahead of it. A few showers may move into West Michigan during the morning, with thunderstorms developing just as the front clears out of the region around or just after midday. Most of those will miss us off to the southeast.
Temperatures will be held in the low 80s Wednesday afternoon as the new airmass moves in; the drier air will allow temperatures to drop near 60° Thursday morning.
A very quiet and pleasant stretch of summer weather will then commence and hold on through the weekend. You can find the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
