GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Plans to hold a parade in downtown Grand Rapids on the 4th of July have fallen through due to lack of interest.
The parade had been part of the Amway 4th of July Family Fireworks Celebration for three years.
The rest of the day’s schedule remains intact. A.ll events take place at Ah-Nab-Awen Park on the Grand River adjacent to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.
At 6 p.m., sixty West Michigan residents as naturalized U.S. citizens. Entertainment will follow on the park stage until the fireworks at 10:30 p.m.
