SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — Twenty one improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were discovered Wednesday during six raids conducted by Michigan State Police.
According to a press release, the IEDs ranged from three to six inches in length. A homeowner at one of the raided residences told police they were homemade and only intended for entertainment purposes.
Three of the raids that state police conducted were at the marijuana dispensaries in Springfield, two were at residences in Kalamazoo and Barry Counties and the final search warrant was at Springfield City Hall to obtain information about licensing at the dispensaries.
