MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. –An undercover Michigan State Police officer busted a 45-year-old man tried to hire them to kill his estranged wife.
Barryton man Bryan Joseph Crowley is charged with murder and three separate solicitation charges for kidnapping, home invasion and delivery of a controlled substance. He could spend life in prison if convicted.
State police in Mount Pleasant received information from a number of sources that Crowley was looking for someone to kill his wife. He was introduced to the undercover officer Tuesday, June 25, and offered to pay them for the killing.
