BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Former Battle Creek police officer Jennifer Appl pleaded guilty to driving while impaired Wednesday, and was sentenced to fines, court costs and one year of probation under a plea deal.
Appl pleaded guilty to DWI after initially being charged with operating while intoxicated. The lesser charge will allow her to reapply for her driver’s license immediately instead of waiting 30 days for an OWI.
