HASTINGS, Mich. — Barry County Marine Deputies responded to a 911 call involving a stranded kayker clinging to a log in the middle of Thornapple River early Tuesday evening.
According to a press release from the Barry County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the call at about 5:30 p.m., and deputies rescued the victims in a patrol boat. They only suffered minor scratches and refused medical treatment after being secured on land.
