BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Police in Battle Creek continue to search for a suspect connected to an armed robbery.
The incident happened on Monday at 3:31 a.m. at the Speedway gas station on W. Columbia Avenue. Two employees reported that a man came in, pointed a handgun at them, and demanded money. Police say he left on foot with an undisclosed about of money.
Officers used a police dog to track the suspect, but the dog lost the track behind Lassen Automotive on W. Columbia near 20th Street.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his late teens or early 20s. He is about 5’6″ tall, and 140 pounds with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red hoodie with black print, a black with gold do-rag, black shorts with white stripes at the bottom of the legs, and gray tennis shoes with white stripes.
The suspect also had a black and yellow single-strap bag that’s described as a lunch bag, and police say he put the money in it.
