WEST MICHIGAN – After storms rolled through the area on Wednesday night, we gradually cleared the skies Thursday and that trend will continue on Friday as well. High pressure will deliver another day filled with uneventful, quiet conditions and full of sunshine. We can also expect a dry (non humid) air mass with dew point temperatures in the 50s and air temperatures in the mid/upper 70s.
Our next chance of showers and thunderstorms don’t come in to the picture until Saturday afternoon, with a better chance Saturday evening/night. None of those storms are expected to be severe. Once we get over the chance of additional storms Sunday and later Monday, another area of high pressure will build in to the region and sunshine along with comfortable temps will return to the forecast. In fact, our forecast models are not showing any real June heat over the next week or so.
The attached snapshot is from our FOX 17 FutureTrack HD computer forecast model stopped at 12:00 PM on Friday. Notice for the most part…not a cloud in the sky and no precipitation anywhere in the region. You can aways get the complete forecast for West Michigan by going to www.fox17online.com/weather.
