Monday Forecast: Showers, A Few Storms

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After a mostly dry and comfortable weekend of weather, West Michigan will continue to see some scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms Monday.

An area of low pressure will slide out of the region late in the day and take much of the rain with it; however, showers will continue to wrap around that system throughout the day.  The most widespread rain will occur in the early stages of the day, with some more scattered thunderstorm activity possible in the afternoon, especially south and east of Grand Rapids.

Conditions will start to dry out late today into tonight, but lingering moisture with clearing skies may result in some patchy fog early Tuesday.

Another round of storms may produce a chance of severe weather on Wednesday; stay tuned to FOX 17 for updates on that forecast.  You can always head to the Weather page for interactive radar and the rest of the 7 Day Forecast.
