Grand Rapids, Mich. — Another member of the Holland Latin Kings has taken a plea deal with federal authorities.

Mario Herrera has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to engage in racketeering and has agreed to testify against other alleged gang members in the federal case.

He will be sentenced in October.

Other charges were dropped in exchange for his plea.

Herrera is just one of more than 30 alleged gang members that were part of a sweeping federal indictment back in February.

Holland police say they’ve been investigating the gang for years along with other local and federal authorities.

Other Holland Latin King members have also accepted guilty pleas in the case.

Sentencing for some members of the organization will begin as early as August.
