GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — University Prep Academy math teacher Jamila Williams will be charged with four counts of third degree Criminal Sexual Conduct according to a press release from the Grand Rapids Police Department.

According to the release, that teacher is  accused of sexually assaulting two male students, one 15 and the other 16 years old, between March 1 and June 1 at multiple locations in Grand Rapids.  She is expected to turn herself into the authorities within the next day.

These charges follow a letter sent home to University Prep parents yesterday from Grand Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Teresa Weatherall saying that a teacher was placed on administrative leave after accusations from several parents.

This incident is currently one of two involving sexual matters with adult employees in Grand Rapids Public Schools.  The other involves Kevin Dengel, a Sherwood Park Elementary paraprofessional who was charged yesterday with six counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct, including three second degree charges.
