WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — It has been a wet and stormy Tuesday in West Michigan, and it appears more storms tonight could wake you up a little earlier than you would like. This image from LIVE FOX 17 Doppler radar shows a cluster of thunderstorms in northeast Illinois moving to the northeast. If this holds together, it would arrive on the West Michigan shoreline around 12:30AM.
For the most part, these storms will be noisy but not necessarily severe. The main threat is heavy rain, but there will be a lot of lightning and thunder as well.
Parts of the area have already received plenty of rain Tuesday. Here is a partial list as of 8:45PM Tuesday:
- Goodwillie Environmental School, Ada: 1.28″
- Ravenna Middle School: 1.05″
- Grand Rapids: 1.38″
- Muskegon: 0.91″
- Lansing: 1.50″
The storms later tonight could result in some street flooding. I’ll have an update on FOX 17 News, or you can visit the weather page at http://www.fox17online.com/weather
