GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Below is a list of just some of the parades and events happening in your neighborhood this Memorial Day.
Kent County:
- Grand Rapids Memorial Day Parade – Monday, May 27 at 10:00 a.m. (Down Division to Fulton before turning east and ending in front of Veterans Park)
- Wyoming Memorial Day Ceremony – Monday, May 27 at the Veteran’s Memorial Garden starting at 7:00 pm. Retired Lieutenant Colonel, David Britten (current superintendent of Godfrey-Lee Public Schools) will be the guest speaker.
- Alpine Township Memorial Day Commemoration – 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery
- Rockford Memorial Day Parade – 9:00 a.m. Monday at Seventh Street and Sixth Avenue.
- Caledonia Memorial Day Observances – Parade at 12:00 p.m. at corner of Kinsey and Main to parade to Caledonia Lakeside Cemetery
Ottawa County:
- Grand Haven Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies – 9:30 a.m. Parade route is west on Washington, starting at the intersection of 6th and Washington.
- Spring Lake Memorial Day Parade – 10:30 a.m. The parade route starts at the corner of Buchanan and Exchange Streets
- Holland Memorial Day Parade – 9:30 a.m. Parade travels from Eighth Street and River Avenue to Columbia Avenue, then south to 16th Street and east the the Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Allegan County:
- Saugatuck – 9:00 a.m.
- Douglas – 10:00 a.m.
- Wayland – 10:30 a.m. at Wayland Middle School
Kalamazoo County:
- Kalamazoo Memorial Day Parade – 10:00 a.m.
Muskegon County:
- Muskegon Memorial Day Veterans Parade – 9:00 a.m. Starts at the County building on Terrace St.
Ionia County:
- Ionia Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies– 9:00 a.m.
