Michigan State Police are still looking for a man who punched a person on US 131 following a road rage incident Thursday afternoon.

Troopers say a businessman was on his way south on the highway toward Kalamazoo when he tried to move over into the right lane.

He nearly hit another car, then swerved back into his own lane.

The man in the car in the right lane then drove around him and slammed on his brakes, forcing the businessman to stop completely.

The driver got out of his car and approached the victim’s car.

When he rolled down the window to apologize, the other man punched him and then got back in his car and took off.

The victim suffered a broken front tooth.

He drove to the Martin exit where he called 911 on his cell phone.

Police say they need witnesses to come forward to try to locate the man who threw the punch.

They say he was a white man in his 30’s driving a black car.

Traffic was backed up at the time of the incident at around 12:30 pm and they’re hoping someone might have gotten a better description of the man and the other car involved.
