REED CITY, Mich. – A 41-year-old man is under arrest, after Troopers with the Michigan State Police say he assaulted someone with a flashlight.
It happened late Sunday night on 1st Street in Hersey. When troopers arrived, they found a 39-year-old victim from Reed City suffering non-life threatening injuries to his head, reportedly caused by the suspect striking the victim at least three times with a large, metallic flashlight.
The suspect was taken into custody and lodged at the Osceola County Jail. He is expected to be arraigned on a charge of felonious assault with the possibility of other charges to come.
