WEST MICHIGAN – The National Weather Service has posted a FREEZE WATCH for our entire area for Sunday night in to Monday morning. Temperatures are expected to fall at/below freezing for several hours as skies clear and winds go calm.

Anyone that planted early/already will certainly want to cover the vegetation up, or bring the plants inside if possible. The Grand Rapids metro area is expected to stop around 30 degrees, but outlying locations away from the city will most likely fall in to the mid/upper 20s. We could be flirting with record low temperatures in some locations and a hard frost/freeze. That means some of the fruit crop could be in jeopardy again.

In fact, all of lower Michigan is under a FREEZE WATCH for Sunday night.
