MUSKEGON, Mich. — A 12-year-old boy listed as missing by the Muskegon Police Department on Wednesday evening was found shortly thereafter.

Muskegon police said Nicholas Earl Hutchins was dropped off Wednesday morning at Muskegon Middle School but wasn’t in attendance when school began. His mother told FOX 17 NEWS that her son went into school and left through another entrance.

Police said the boy was seen again getting into a red pickup truck between 5 and 5:30 p.m. at McDonald’s at 122 Muskegon Ave. in Muskegon.

The 12-year-old is described as a white male standing 5-feet-5, weighing 105 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing glasses, a black T-shirt, white zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black jacket and blue jeans. He also had a black backpack with orange stripes.

At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, the Muskegon Police Department announced that Hutchins had been located and returned to family members.
