GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Today, the city of Grand Rapids held its first of seven budget review sessions.
Changes to city departments, including proposed cuts and promotions were discussed.
The City Manager Greg Sundstrom said by the end of 2013 there will likely be a new recruiting class for the Grand Rapids Police Department. He said “it seems abnormal” because the city hasn’t hired a police officer since 2009.
