With a full event calendar, families find joy in digging up worms to feed a Red Slider Turtle named Myrtle, play with live bunnies, climb and spy out the lookout tour and fishing.

Preschoolers can also create a mini garden on April 24 starting at 12:30p.m. for a donation of $5.00.

In honor of Arbor Day, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, volunteers are encouraged to help plant 50 Sugar Maples and 50 Black Walnut Trees at HCNC.

Trails at HCNC are free and open from dawn to dusk.

Hours for the Red Pine Interpretive Center are Mon. thru Fri, 9:00am – 4:00pm – Saturday/Sunday 12:00pm – 4:00pm – unless closed for private parties (rentals).
