GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Investigators in Ottawa County have identified a body found in the Grand River on Thursday morning.
On Monday afternoon, the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety identified the body as that of Trevor James Obrien, 28, of Grand Rapids. He was reported missing from Grand Rapids on Feb. 3.
The body was discovered at 10:58 a.m. last Thursday near Rycenga Lumber in Grand Haven and was identified through forensic analysis.
Grand Rapids police detectives, the Michigan State Police Grand Rapids crime lab and the Ottawa County medical examiner helped identify Obrien’s body.
Foul play is not suspected in the death.
