GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Three ramps at the interchange of I-196 and Chicago Drive between Grandville and Jenison were closed Thursday evening by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
MDOT said the closures affect these ramps:
- I-196 eastbound to Chicago Drive
- Eastbound Chicago Drive to eastbound I-196
- Westbound Chicago Drive to westbound I-196
The closures capped a day of closures caused by water over roads, including rare closures on an expressway: US-131 southbound was closed Thursday morning from the Dorr exit to the Wayland exit. The highway was reopened with one lane around noon, and both lanes were open by the end of the workday.
