KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Participants in this year’s Consumers Sunburst Run will have the opportunity to pay it forward to victims of the bombings during the Boston Marathon.
At Saturday’s race, on 2901 N. 10th St., attendees will observe a moment of silence for those who were impacted by the blast, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to support victims.
This is the fourth annual Sunburst Run, and it will include a 10K at 7:30 a.m. and a 5K at 9 a.m., following a moment of silence.
The event also supports local community parks and family programs through the Oshtemo Friends of the Parks.
