10:21 Death toll rises to 3.  Officials say more than 100 have been hurt.  Initial reports of a suspect being questioned at a Boston Hospital are false.

6:40 FOX 17 confirms that one of the two people killed in the explosion was an 8-year-old.

5:30 p.m. Person of interest being guarded at the hospital.

4:50 p.m. A third explosion at the JFK Library, no injuries reported.

4:42 Fox News says two more explosive devices were found not detonated.

4:14 p.m. 560 runners from Michigan were registered to run in today’s race, according to the Boston Marathon’ website.

3:55 p.m. Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities.

3:53 p.m. Grand Rapids Police Department, FBI and Department of Homeland Security all say they have not been put on any kind of alert locally after the Boston Marathon bombings.

FOX 17 has heard that cellphone service has been blocked in the area.
