MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich.– Crime prevention starts in the community; something the police chief in Muskegon Heights said helped get two criminals off the street before something bad happened.
Police arrested Danta Porchia, 19, and Angelo Brown, 23, near Broadway Avenue and 7th Street, in Muskegon Heights Wednesday afternoon. That’s an area that has seen several shootings in recent weeks.
A tipster called police saying the pair was armed. The two told officers they had guns for protection, but the police chief said they’re looking into whether they are tied to any of the recent shootings.
Porchia is also facing a drug possession charge. Brown has a past conviction for drug possession.
