KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kalamazoo is hosting its third annual Community Job Fair April 12 and 13. It’s happening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at 120 Roberson Street.
The two-day event is designed to assist individuals with the necessary tools to successfully gain employment or enhance their careers.
There will be workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, entrepreneurial preparation, what ex-offenders need to know, and soft skills – which will highlight good workplace communication and proper business attire.
There will be over 35 employers on-site actively hiring qualified candidates.
A car will also be given away to further eliminate barriers to successful employment.
