ATLANTA — Most of the Michigan basketball team didn’t get much sleep after a Final Four win over Syracuse on Saturday night, but the team is running on adrenaline.

“It’s exhausting but it’s a thrill,” said U-M Freshman Mitch McGary. “This is a once and a lifetime opportunity.”

Players didn’t arrive back at their team hotel until around 2am Sunday, then practiced at the Georgia Dome on Sunday afternoon. Their obligations also included numerous television interviews, photo shoots and press conferences. The Wolverines were looking forward to a night of rest and relaxation before Monday night’s Championship game against Louisville.

“It’s a dream come true and it would be surreal to get a win tomorrow,” said National Player of the Year Trey Burke. “We understand we have a lot of preparing to do.”

FOX 17’s Tara Hernandez continues her live coverate at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. She has more reaction from the Wolverines and their preparation for Louisville in the video player.
