GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Fire Department told FOX 17 Tuesday night that two adults and three children were able to escape the flames, when their home caught fire on Fremont Avenue NW.
Firefighters on scene say, the family got out without injury, however their family dog died and their cat is still missing.
The fire started on the first floor, in the back of the home, around 9:15 p.m., then quickly spread to the attic.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
