CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — One person was killed after a vehicle burst into flames early Saturday morning.
The accident happened off of East Michigan Avenue and 22 1/2 Mile when a Dodge Ram ran off the road into a tree.
Deputies were called to the scene at around 2:15 a.m and discovered the vehicle on fire.
Deputies tried to extinguish the fire while the driver was stuck inside the vehicle, but had no luck.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was the cause of death.
The cause of the crash is unknown and the accident is still under investigation.
